We're really sorry, but the government has decided that, nationally,
these schemes will no longer receive funding, and because of the very
high cost of keeping the motor scooters on the road, we can't continue
without this support.
As a charity we can't make political comments, and government and its
departments must make their own decisions about expenditure. All we can
say is that we felt that we had really helped a number of young people
access education and employment opportunities that would otherwise have
been out of reach, and we're sad that this can't continue.
If we ever reach the happy stage of making some of our other activities
consistently profitable, then we may be able to look at running a similar
scheme again.
