Wheelchairs

We stock both 'attendant' chairs (ones that need somebody to push them) and 'self propelled' (ones with large side wheels that can be propelled by the user as well as a pusher)

We have a mixture of conventional chairs and lightweight ones.

Most of them can be easily folded to stow in a car. On all of them the footrests can be removed, and on most of them the pusher handles can be folded down.

The arm rests can also be removed on some models.

All models have brakes that can be locked on, but some also have a brakes on the pusher handles, similar to bicycle handlebar brakes.

Some models have a lap belt (similar to those on aeroplane seats), and others also have velcro restraining straps on the footrests.

Self Propelled Chairs

As with attendant chairs, these all have handbrakes that can be operated by the passenger, but they don't have brakes on the handles.

Footrests can be removed, but the wheels mean that you need a slightly larger space for stowing in a car boot etc. There are seatbelts and foot restraints on some models.
